Oh, Bali! It's a place that calls to you, with its vibrant culture, stunning landscapes, and famously warm hospitality. But when you're traveling with little ones, finding the perfect resort that caters to both adult relaxation and kid-friendly fun is key. Our recent stay at the Hilton Bali Resort in Nusa Dua absolutely knocked it out of the park, and we're so excited to share all the family-friendly magic this property offers!

Our Perfect Beachfront King Suite: Space for Days!

From the moment we stepped into our Beachfront King Suite, we knew we'd found our slice of paradise. Seriously, the space was incredible! With two active toddlers, having room to spread out, play, and just breathe makes all the difference on vacation. The suite was so much more than just a room; it was a comfortable haven with ample living area, a plush king bed, and of course, that breathtaking view of the Indian Ocean right from our private balcony. It meant we could enjoy a quiet morning coffee while the kids played, or simply relax after a busy day without feeling cramped. It truly felt like a home away from home, but with much better scenery and service!

A Paradise for Little Travelers (and Their Parents!)

The Hilton Bali Resort is located in Nusa Dua, a prestigious area on the southern tip of Bali known for its luxury resorts, pristine beaches, and calm waters – perfect for families. The resort itself is perched on a lush cliff, offering dramatic ocean views and direct access to a beautiful, secluded white sandy beach.

What truly sets this resort apart for families are its fantastic amenities:

  • Jungle Kids Club & Game Cave: This was a huge hit! The Jungle Kids Club (for ages 4-12, but they also have a Baby Club for 1-3 years and babysitting services) is incredibly impressive. It's a two-level, treehouse-themed wonderland with indoor play equipment, games, a movie area, and an outdoor playground featuring a giant trampoline and even a rock-climbing wall! For older kids, the "Game Cave" offers mini-bowling, PlayStation 5, pool tables, and more. Our toddlers loved the smaller slide in the kids' pool and the various organized activities.

  • Multiple Pools & Water Slide: Get ready to splash! The resort boasts four stunning pools, including a fantastic 30-meter waterslide that was a constant source of joy for our kids (and let's be honest, for us too!). There's a dedicated children's pool, a sprawling lagoon-style pool that winds through tropical gardens, and a relaxing hot jacuzzi overlooking the ocean.

  • Direct Beach Access: Having the beautiful Sawangan Beach just steps away was a dream. The calm waves and soft sand are ideal for building sandcastles and safe splashing with little ones.

  • Diverse Dining: With five restaurants and a deli, meal times were always exciting, not repetitive. From extensive breakfast buffets with international and local options (they even had healthy additions like spirulina!) to delicious family lunch deals and fresh pizzas at The Shore beachside restaurant, there was always something to please everyone's palate.

  • Camel Safari Rides: Yes, you read that right! The resort offers unique camel safari rides right on the beach, which is an unforgettable experience for kids and adults alike (and makes for amazing photos!).

  • Thoughtful Touches: Beyond the big amenities, it's the little things that make a difference: scheduled shuttles to nearby shopping at Bali Collection, tennis courts, a fitness center, and incredibly friendly and helpful staff who always went the extra mile.

When to Visit Bali with Your Family

Bali enjoys a tropical climate year-round, but the dry season (typically from April to October) is generally considered the best time to visit Nusa Dua, especially with families. During these months, you can expect:

  • Plenty of Sunshine: Ideal for enjoying the pools and beaches without interruptions.

  • Lower Humidity: Making outdoor activities more comfortable.

  • Calm Waters: Perfect for little swimmers and water sports.

  • Comfortable Temperatures: Averaging 28°C to 32°C (82°F to 89°F) during the day.

While this is peak tourist season, the vastness of the Hilton Bali Resort and its private beach help manage any crowds. If you prefer fewer people and don't mind occasional short showers, the shoulder months of April, May, September, and October can also be wonderful, often with slightly lower prices.

Our stay at the Hilton Bali Resort was nothing short of spectacular. It truly offers a complete family vacation experience, blending Balinese charm with world-class amenities and service. We can't wait to go back and make more cherished memories!

Happy Travels,

Tatyana, Little Welch Travelers
